lyrics

I was in A Minor Car Crash
Bleeding from a wide gash in my face
There's body parts all of the place
I was in A Minor Car Crash
I was driving to my ex's place
Was 98mph an excessive pace?

I called you drunk outside of a Starbucks
I've never felt this down on my luck
I miss you baby, don't you know
Since I heard you're seeing so-and-so

I called you drunk outside of a Starbucks
I've never felt this down on my luck
Who's this new boy I don't know?
Hope you have fun fucking so-and-so

I was in A Major Car Crash
Bleeding from a wide gash in my face
There's blood all over the place
I was in A Minor Car Crash
I'm glad I didn't survive
Won't see you if I'm not alive

Three creams, no sugar
She says that I'm a loser
Three creams, no sugar
Look like I'm gonna lose her.

from ... If This Summer Doesn't Kill You, released August 15, 2016
Was driving to a Joyce Manor show when I saw a sign, half obscured by a tree, that read:

"IN A MINOR ---------
CALL 1-800-----------"

In A Minor? Like, a song in A Minor?
When the tree was out of the way, I could see the sign read:

"IN A MINOR CAR CRASH?
CALL 1-800-CAR-CRSH"

Oh.

Two days after recording this song, we were driving home from a Pity Party show when we hit a big-ass wooden cabinet in the middle of the freeway. We pulled off the freeway into a Starbucks parking lot, and after examining the front of my car, we all laughed at the irony of the situation.
